The following spaces will be available pretty much full time throughout the conference:
- Music Hall – General Sessions
- West Parlor – A-Team Cave / Let’s Talk Tech! Vendors, displays, hands-on opportunities, and more.
- Pool (supervision required)
- Room 227 – Game Room for youngsters (6-11)
- Navigator – Tot Room (5 and under)
Wednesday, May 1
Scientists (Clinicians and Researchers) arrive as well as early family arrivals, mostly from abroad. Registration for Scientists.
Thursday, May 2
Families arrive throughout the day, register, and collect conference materials. Scientists participate in the Scientific Symposium (see PDF), with lunch and dinner off campus.
Transportation for scientists departs 08:00 (8:00 am).
Cocktail welcome reception for families at 17:30 (5:30 pm).
On own for dinner at the hotel or in nearby restaurants (2-3 blocks away).
Relax by the heated pool with its swim-up bar or in the hot tube! Visit the hotel’s museum, maybe even visit the Spa!
Friday, May 3
Breakfast from 06:30 – 08:00 (6;30 – 8:00 am)
Children need to be ready to depart for off-campus activities at 08:00 (8:00 am)
General sessions (see PDF) will begin at 08:15 (8:15 am) and end at approximately 16:30 (4:30 pm) with children returning shortly thereafter. Rest, nap, swim, meet in the Carl Henry, peruse the posters, chat with vendors.
Dinner at 18:30 (6:30 pm). Welcome Banquet, Announcements, and Keynote Address from Shannon Caldwell.
Saturday, May 4
Breakfast from 06:30 – 08:00 (6;30 – 8:00 am)
Children need to be ready to depart for off-campus activities at 08:00 (8:00 am).
General sessions (see PDF) will begin at 08:15 (8:15 am) and end at approximately 16:30 (4:30 pm) with children returning shortly thereafter.
Bidding will open on the Silent Auction! Auction will close at 21:00 (9:00 pm). Rest, nap, swim, meet in the Carl Henry. Banquet, Keynote Address from Jamie Seeger, Awards Presentations and DJ Music and Photo Booth by “Rock n Robin” (no relation!) until 23:00 (11:00 pm).
Sunday, May 5
Breakfast from 06:30 – 08:00 (6;30 – 8:00 am)
Children need to be ready to depart for off-campus activities at 08:00 (8:00 am)
General sessions (see PDF) will begin at 08:15 (8:15 am) and end at approximately 12:00 (12:00 pm).
Families and Scientists will have several options for the afternoon, including just exploring the beach, lazing by the pool, strolling down the Boulevard to the nearby Pleasure Pier Amusement Park, or traveling 35 minutes by bus to enjoy the Johnson Space Museum. MANY options for lunch on your own.
Texas Barbecue at the Hotel Galvez at 18:00 (6:00 pm).
Monday, May 6
Breakfast from 07:30 – 09:00 (7:30 – 9:00 am)
Family Meeting to talk about many things, including the future of ASI and the direction(s) you wish it to take!
